Updated Microsoft glossaries
Posted by - NA - on 01 March 2006 03:10 PM

Question:
Are the glossaries updated by Microsoft? And if they are, will WinLexic take those changes or updates into account?

Answer:
Microsoft updates the glossaries. An updated glossary can be downloaded and integrated into WinLexic. You just need to download a new glossary and integrate it. The old file will be overwritten.

Re the Microsoft glossaries; I think I just downloaded and integrated the glossaries again, but they still seem to be the same 2003 versions. Are there any updates coming for e.g. 2010?

Dear Simon Braun,

Thank you for your comment.

Unfortunately, Microsoft no longer updates their glossaries in .csv file format. At this moment, WinLexic uses the most recent Microsoft glossaries that are available in the old format.

I would like to mention that our Development Team is considering a possibility to implement support of the new Microsoft glossaries format in a next version of WinLexic.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Best regards,
Alexey.
