How can I move my Projetex 10 to another PC?
Posted by Alexey Sokolov (AIT) on 21 July 2014 10:27 AM

To migrate to another PC, please do the following:

1. Download the Projetex setup file from from your personal account at clients.translation3000.com

2. Install the program on your new PC and activate it with your serial number.

3. Manually copy your Projetex database file (Projetex.fdb) into the "C:\Program Files (x86)\AIT\Projetex 10\Projetex Server\Database" folder or use a backup file (.FBK file) to restore your database on a new PC.

4. In case you receive a "Database updated required" message, just install Projetex 10 once again over the existing copy without uninstallation. This procedure will automatically apply all update scripts to your database in place.

To restore a database, go to Projetex Server Administrator > Database > Restore.

By the way, you can make a backup of your database by going to Projetex Server Administrator > Database > Backup.

To use all your RTF Templates, CAT schemes and Local Custom Filter settings, please move them to the appropriate folders on your new computer:

RTF Templates (Windows 7, Windows 8): ..\BusinessServer\Templates

CAT schemes (Windows 7, Windows 8): C:\ProgramData\AIT\Projetex 10\Schemes

Local Custom Filter settings (Windows 7, Windows 8): C:\ProgramData\AIT\Projetex 10\Filters

Important! Make sure to copy your BusinessServer folder to your new PC. Then specify its location at Projetex Server Administrator > Corporate > Folders > Change.

Note: Projetex 10 is no longer available. Consider upgrading to Projetex 3D. Further information can be found here: http://www.translationmanagementsoftware.com
