AnyCount freezes when clicking the "Add" button.

Make sure that the file to be counted is not located on a network drive. The speed limitation of a network connection can cause AnyCount to freeze.

Move the files to a local drive and then add them for counting again.

You can also try the following fix:
1. Open (using Notepad) the AnyCount.ini file from your AnyCount folder (by default, C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\AIT\AnyCount 3D\Settings)
2. Delete the line starting with BrowseDir, save the file.
3. Restart AnyCount.

If you have Windows Vista or higher installed, turn off UAC (User Account Control).
