Anti-virus software is detecting a Themida virus in Projetex
Posted by on 27 June 2012 01:19 PM

Some anti-viruses may wrongly recognize Themida as a potential threat.

We are aware of this situation. Most detections happen with Avira Free Antivirus (it states there is a TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen signature within the executable), but other anti-virus or anti-malware applications may also trigger the alert.

Themida is software license protection system, which is licensed by AIT from the Spanish company Oreans and does nothing except thoroughly protect the application code from intrusion. More information is available at http://www.oreans.com/themida.php. Most likely, your antivirus database does not contain signatures of the latest Themida versions.

We guarantee the full safety of all our software which was uploaded on our servers. Please try adding Projetex Workstation and Server Administrator applications to the exceptions list of your antivirus software.

Hello Beverly Nichols,

Thank you for your comment.

I would like to mention that Projetex 7.0, Projetex 8 and Projetex 9 can be run on virtual machine software smoothly and without any problems. Thus the most likely you are trying to run one of the previous versions of Projetex on a virtual machine. Please contact us using the following e-mail address: support@projetex.com and we will investigate the problem in detail.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
Aleksandr
